Scunthorpe Hospital Radio – From humble beginnings, SHR has grown and developed to become a sophisticated organisation. From the first tape recording of Scunthorpe United”s football match against Rochdale on 10th November 1951 through to the introduction in the 70s of a Record Request programme on Thursday evenings, to todays seven day a week, 24 hour a day operation, the station has seen many positive changes.
